We’re RAMEN KENJO and we’re serious about serving you hot bowls of happiness by offering traditional and not-so traditional Japanese ramen. Our chef-driven menu headed by Chef Seiji Ikeda and his crew along with the folks taking your order only care about our customers being happy the moment they’re greeted. No BS, just really great food and awesome people.
Our tonkotsu broth is a doting 10-hour process. For the chicken broth, we toss in a whole chicken for that natural goodness. Let’s just say we have eyes on the pots all day. Go with the traditional tonkotsu ramen or take it to the next level with one of our “ultra” selections like the Miso Impossible, our vegetarian miso broth topped with the Impossible meat. And yes, we have appetizers and rice bowls to round out the perfect meal. Come visit soon!
Like many of his peers, Chef Seiji Ikeda worked his way up from washing dishes to eventually heading kitchens. Upon arriving to the states, he jumped around Japanese restaurants to hone his skills in various Japanese cuisines ranging from sushi to ramen. Chef Ikeda is revered by his peers for his hard-work ethics, integrity and loyalty. We refer to Chef Ikeda as a man of little words, just all action.

USC—Ramen Kenjo is a new Japanese noodle spot next to USC that seems designed for busy and cost-conscious students. With a decent set of ramen bowls like tonkotsu, chicken shio, and spicy miso with a slew of toppings, there’s a few wild card menu picks like the K-Town, with pan-fried kimchi. Order sides like karaage or gyoza and it’s a meal under $20.
